Heritage Suite FAQs

The suite is built into Ladera Resort’s volcanic ridge setting, framing an open ocean view across the Caribbean Sea. For guests who want a sense of open-air drama with their morning coffee, the wraparound outlook makes this one of the resort’s most scenic categories.

The Heritage Suite has one king bed, sleeping two guests. Paired with the resort’s adults-only, 18-and-over policy, it’s designed squarely for couples, honeymooners or anniversary travelers rather than families or groups.

Yes — it comes with its own private heated plunge pool set on a furnished terrace, plus a separate sitting area as part of the suite’s open, three-wall design. It’s a self-contained outdoor retreat rather than a shared balcony.

The bathroom is partially open, in keeping with Ladera’s signature architecture, and includes a rainfall showerhead, bathrobes, hair dryer and hypoallergenic bedding options in the suite itself. It’s designed for an indoor-outdoor feel rather than a fully enclosed spa bathroom.

At 2,400 sq. ft., the Heritage Suite is among the resort’s larger layouts, with its own separate sitting area and plunge pool setting it apart from smaller entry-level suites. Guests who want extra space and privacy without stepping up to a full villa tend to book this category.

Rates cover meals and beverages resort-wide, though some special dinners, premium drinks and dishes at certain venues carry an extra charge. Guests also get complimentary access to the guided Ladera Ridge hike, garden and wellness-garden tours, and the Sports & Game Lounge, plus in-room extras like turndown service and daily housekeeping.

Very much so — the combination of a private plunge pool, generous 2,400 sq. ft. layout and Ladera’s adults-only atmosphere makes it well suited to honeymoons, anniversaries or an extended romantic escape. The open-air design and ridge setting also reward guests who plan to spend real time in the room rather than just sleeping there.

Ladera has no beach directly on site, so guests take the complimentary daily shuttle to Malgretoute Beach, a short ride away. On property, the suite is a walk from Dasheene, the resort’s restaurant perched above the sea, and from the cliffside pool terrace.

Ladera’s rooms, including the Heritage Suite, follow an open, three-wall architectural style with no glass in some window openings, so there’s natural airflow rather than sealed air conditioning throughout. It’s part of the resort’s signature style, but guests who prefer fully enclosed rooms should keep this in mind.
